About the Role
Summit Valley School District seeks an enthusiastic Elementary School Teacher to join our team. You’ll create lesson plans, foster student development, and collaborate with staff to support educational goals in a public school setting.
Responsibilities
- Develop curriculum-aligned lesson plans
- Assess student progress through formative/summative evaluations
- Maintain classroom discipline and positive learning environment
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development
- Adapt teaching methods for diverse learning needs
- Organize classroom activities and educational field trips
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education
- Valid state teaching certification
- Classroom management skills
- Understanding of state education standards
- 1+ years teaching experience (student teaching accepted)
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Clear background check
