Job Description
About the Role
Provide respiratory care to patients with breathing disorders. Collaborate with physicians and nurses to develop treatment plans and monitor patient response to treatments.
Responsibilities
- Administer oxygen and other gases to patients.
- Operate ventilators and other respiratory equipment.
- Perform pulmonary function tests and analyses.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory care.
- Document patient progress and response to treatments.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to adjust treatment plans.
- Ensure proper sterilization of respiratory equipment.
- Maintain patient records accurate.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy.
- State licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Experience in an acute care setting preferred.
- Knowledge of respiratory care procedures and protocols.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Physical ability to lift and move equipment.
