About the Role
Join our communications team as a Public Relations Specialist, supporting media relations, event planning, and community engagement initiatives for our nonprofit organization.
Responsibilities
- Draft and distribute press releases, media alerts, and other communications materials
- Maintain positive relationships with local and national media outlets and journalists
- Plan and execute press conferences, media events, and community engagement events
- Monitor and analyze media coverage, and provide regular reports on PR activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement communication strategies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, or a related field
- Proven experience in public relations, communications, or a similar role (2-4 years)
- Strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with nonprofit organizations (Preferred)
