About the Role
Join our Midwest manufacturing facility team as a Production Machine Operator. This entry-level role focuses on operating machinery, performing quality inspections, and maintaining machine functionality. No prior experience required – training provided!
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate industrial machinery for metal fabrication
- Conduct quality checks on produced parts for defects
- Maintain accurate production logs and machine settings
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to optimize equipment
- Collaborate with team leads to improve production efficiency
- Follow established safety protocols with protective gear
- Report machinery malfunctions promptly to supervisors
- Assist in inventory restocking when machine downtime occurs
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and spec sheets
- Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity
- Willing to work on rotating 12-hour shifts
- Adhere to safety guidelines rigorously at all times
- Possess manual hand/power tool experience (preferred)
- Basic math skills for dimensional accuracy checking
- Excellent attention to detail for repetitive inspections
