About the Role
Advance real-time 3D perception systems for surgical robots at NeoMedTech. Lead algorithm development enabling millimeter-precision autonomous suturing and tissue differentiation using hyperspectral imaging. Your team’s breakthroughs will directly influence FDA submissions for ground-breaking robotic surgical platforms.
Responsibilities
- Develop SLAM systems for deformable tissue environments
- Optimize CNN architectures for instrument tracking
- Implement HDR/spectral imaging processing pipelines
- Achieve sub-millimeter tracking precision in clinical settings
- Collaborate with UI/UX team on augmented reality overlays
- Build simulation environments with Unity/ROS
- Establish protocol for functional safety verification
Requirements
- PhD Computer Vision/Robotics
- 7+ years real-time perception systems
- Experience with da Vinci surgical system architecture
- CV pipeline optimization for embedded GPU
- Publications in medical robotics (TRO/RAL)
- Knowledge of ISO 13485/IEC 62304
- Proficiency in ROS and Gazebo
