About the Role
Silver Sun Retirement Home is seeking a dedicated Certified Nurse Assistant to provide quality care to our residents. The CNA will work closely with the nursing team to deliver personalized care, promoting the well-being and comfort of our residents.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating
- Monitor residents’ vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff
- Help with transfers and mobility, ensuring resident safety
- Maintain cleanliness in resident rooms and common areas
- Document resident care activities and maintain accurate records
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
- Ensure resident dignity and respect at all times
Requirements
- Completion of a state-approved CNA program
- Current and valid CNA certification
- Ability to lift and assist residents with mobility
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Experience working in a long-term care facility
- Compassionate and patient-oriented approach to care
- Ability to work in a team environment and follow protocols
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
