About the Role
NextGen Academy seeks a dedicated math teacher to inspire students in grades 9-12. This role requires curriculum development, differentiated instruction, and fostering analytical thinking skills aligned with state standards.
Responsibilities
- Teach Algebra I/II and Geometry courses
- Develop project-based learning activities
- Monitor student progress via formative assessments
- Collaborate with special education staff
- Lead after-school tutoring sessions
- Attend IEP meetings as needed
Requirements
- Valid Oregon teaching credential
- Bachelor’s in Mathematics or related field
- 2+ years classroom experience
- Familiarity with Common Core standards
- Experience with edtech platforms
- Background check clearance
