About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Parks and Recreation Manager to oversee the operations and programs of our city parks. Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and implementing recreational activities and services.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the development and implementation of park and recreation programs.
- Manage park maintenance and ensure facilities are in good condition.
- Coordinate with community organizations and volunteers to enhance park services.
- Prepare and manage the budget for park operations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Handle public complaints and inquiries efficiently.
- Develop and maintain strong community relationships.
- Provide leadership and supervision to park staff and volunteers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Parks and Recreation Management, Public Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience in park and recreation management.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of budgeting and financial management.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Proficient in using park and recreation management software.
- Knowledge of environmental and conservation practices.
