About the Role
Join Bright Horizons as a Preschool Teacher Assistant, supporting lead teachers in creating a nurturing and educational environment for children aged 3-5. You’ll help implement daily lesson plans, supervise playtime, and assist with developmental activities. This role is perfect for someone passionate about early childhood education and making a difference in young lives.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead teacher with daily classroom activities
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play
- Help prepare materials and set up classroom stations
- Support children with basic needs (snacks, restroom breaks)
- Communicate with parents about daily activities
- Maintain clean and safe classroom environment
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions
Requirements
- High school diploma required; CDA or ECE credits preferred
- 1+ years experience working with young children
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willing to obtain)
- Ability to pass background check
- Patience and enthusiasm for working with preschoolers
- Strong communication skills with children and adults
- Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs
