About the Role
We are hiring a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide direct patient care in our skilled nursing facility. The LVN will work under the supervision of RNs and physicians to administer medications, monitor patient conditions, and assist with daily living activities.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report changes in condition.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Document patient care and progress in electronic health records.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and families.
Requirements
- Current LVN license in the state of employment.
- Valid CPR certification.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or acute care setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Passion for providing compassionate care to elderly and disabled patients.
- Comfortable lifting and transferring patients with assistance.
