About the Role
As a Head Start Teacher at Sunrise Community Center, you’ll implement curriculum that meets developmental milestones for ages 3-5. This role focuses on providing comprehensive care, fostering independence, and engaging families in the learning process.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons
- Monitor student progress through assessments and observations
- Create lesson plans aligned with Head Start guidelines
- Engage parents through regular communication and family nights
- Manage a classroom of 20 children with 2 teaching assistants
- Maintain health and safety compliance protocols
Requirements
- BA in Early Childhood Education required
- CDA certification or state teaching license
- 2+ years experience in preschool or early childhood setting
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Strong classroom management skills
- Fluency in Spanish preferred
