About the Role
Provide compassionate patient care at Mercy General Hospital’s medical-surgical unit. Monitor patient health, administer medications, and support registered nurses with treatment delivery. Document patient information and collaborate with healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed
- Assist with wound care and dressing changes
- Collect fluid samples and perform basic lab tests
- Educate patients on treatment plans and self-care
- Collaborate with RNs and physicians on care strategies
- Maintain accurate electronic health records
Requirements
- Current LPN license in California
- Graduate from accredited nursing program
- BLS certification required
- 1+ years clinical experience preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Strong observation and critical thinking skills
- Ability to lift/move patients using proper techniques
