About the Role
Lead strategic oversight of oncology clinical programs at Mayo Clinic, a nonprofit academic medical center ranked #1 in more specialties than any other hospital. Drive innovation in cancer treatment while maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
Responsibilities
- Oversee clinical operations for 12 oncology departments
- Develop precision medicine initiatives using genomic profiling data
- Lead FDA Phase III trial design and implementation
- Mentor 50+ physician-scientists and clinical researchers
- Collaborate with MIT on radiation therapy AI projects
- Manage $8M annual research budget allocation
- Present board-level reports on clinical outcomes quarterly
Requirements
- MD with ABIM certification in Oncology (required)
- 15+ years post-residency clinical experience
- Published 20+ peer-reviewed oncology studies
- Expertise in hematology/bone marrow transplant protocols
- NIH grant management experience (preferred)
- Massachusetts medical license (must obtain within 90 days)
- PhD in Biomedical Science (strongly preferred)
