About the Role
Summit Valley School District seeks a 3rd grade teacher to join our Title I school in Charlotte. This role requires developing differentiated lesson plans, fostering social-emotional growth, and maintaining parent communication. New teachers receive mentorship and curriculum support.
Responsibilities
- Implement Common Core-aligned lessons
- Conduct formative assessments
- Manage inclusive classroom environment
- Attend IEP meetings
- Coordinate with support staff
- Lead after-school tutoring sessions
Requirements
- NC teaching certification (K-6)
- Bachelor’s in Education
- 2+ years classroom experience
- ESOL endorsement preferred
- Trauma-informed practice training
- Proficiency with Google Classroom
