About the Role
Enter the electrical trade through Northwest Electric’s structured apprenticeship program. You’ll learn commercial wiring techniques while working on diverse construction projects across the Chicago area. This role includes classroom and on-site training.
Responsibilities
- Run conduit under supervision
- Assist with equipment installations
- Maintain tools and worksite safety
- Read basic blueprints and diagrams
- Pull wiring through conduits
- Install junction boxes
- Troubleshoot low-voltage systems
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- Basic math aptitude
- Ability to work at heights
- Physical stamina for 8-hour shifts
- Willingness to attend evening classes
- Reliable transportation
