About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our growing data team. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain large-scale data pipelines to support our data science and business intelligence teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain large-scale data pipelines using Apache Spark and Kafka
- Work with data from various sources, including databases, APIs, and files
- Collaborate with data scientists and business intelligence teams to understand data needs
- Develop and implement data modeling and ETL processes
- Monitor and optimize data pipeline performance
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data engineering
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala
- Experience with Apache Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, or other big data tools
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex issues
