About the Role
Teach high school history courses, develop lesson plans, and assess student performance. Foster a positive learning environment and inspire students to engage with historical topics.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement history curriculum for high school students.
- Use a variety of teaching methods and strategies to engage students.
- Assess student progress through tests, quizzes, and assignments.
- Communicate with parents and guardians about student performance.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to improve educational programs.
- Participate in professional development activities to stay current with educational trends.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in History or related field.
- Valid teaching certification for the state of Colorado.
- Proven teaching experience in a high school setting is preferred.
- Strong communicative abilities and classroom management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
- Passion for history and education, with enthusiasm for teaching.
