About the Role
GoldenCare Nursing Home is seeking compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our interdisciplinary care team. You’ll provide essential medical support, monitor patient vitals, and administer treatments, ensuring that our residents receive personalized attention that supports their overall health and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and health metrics
- Administer prescribed medications under registered nurses’ supervision
- Assist with personal hygiene routines for elderly residents
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and treatment
- Assist with diagnostic tests and procedural preparations
- Collaborate with physicians to develop care plans
- Respond to patient emergencies following hospital protocols
- Provide comforting care to patients with dementia
Requirements
- Completed associate/diploma program in nursing
- Current LPN licensure with state nursing board
- Experience in long-term care facilities preferred
- Familiarity with electronic health records
- Strong infection control and patient safety knowledge
- Ability to manage high-stress situations calmly
- Excellent communication skills, compassionate manner
- Proof of TB test and annual flu vaccinations
