About the Role
Join the Electrical Trades Union as an Electrician Apprentice and help build essential infrastructure. You’ll perform basic electrical work under supervision while developing foundational skills and knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead electricians with basic tasks like drilling holes and running conduit
- Perform minor electrical installations under supervision
- Operate electrician’s tools safely per standard practices
- Understand and adhere to National Electrical Code (NEC) guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area
- Participate in on-the-job training and formal classroom instruction
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 18 years old
- Basic math and English language skills
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
- Manual dexterity and ability to lift 50 pounds
- Completion of JATC electrical apprentice application
- Pass drug screening and background check
