About the Role
Design scalable cloud infrastructure supporting genome analysis pipelines processing 100,000+ samples weekly. Implement compliant workflows for clinical diagnostics while optimizing for massive genomic data processing throughput on GCP/Azure.
Responsibilities
- Architect clinical-grade data lakes for genomic data
- Implement bioinformatics workflows on cloud HPC
- Develop HIPAA/GCLA-compliant security protocols
- Optimize storage for petabyte-scale genomic datasets
- Establish cost controls for computational workloads
- Build developer platforms for genomic researchers
Requirements
- Certified Cloud Solutions Architect (GCP/Azure preferred)
- 5+ years in clinical data infrastructure
- Expertise in genomics file formats (BAM, FASTQ, VCF)
- Proficiency with bioinformatics pipelines (WDL/CWL)
- Experience with regulated environments required
- Background in HPC computing environments
