About the Role
Lead classroom instruction for grades K-5, develop engaging lesson plans aligned with state standards, and create a positive learning environment. Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and parents.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement creative lesson plans meeting curriculum standards
- Provide individualized instruction through small group or 1-on-1 support
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and participation
- Foster a classroom culture of respect, curiosity, and academic excellence
- Communicate regularly with parents about student achievements and areas for growth
- Collaborate with school leadership on curriculum development and professional growth
- Assist with planning school functions, field trips, and student performances
Requirements
- Valid teaching certification for elementary education
- Bachelor’s degree in education or related field
- 1+ years teaching experience preferred but not required
- Strong communication skills with parents, students, and colleagues
- Knowledge of state education standards and testing requirements
- Ability to pass background check
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred
