About the Role
Develop computational pipelines for population-scale DNA analysis. Advance precision medicine through rare variant detection algorithms processing 50k genomes monthly. Your innovations in cloud-based genomic infrastructure will accelerate discoveries for complex diseases.
Responsibilities
- Build variant calling pipelines (WGS/WES)
- Develop ML models for phenotypic correlation
- Manage AWS genomics environment (50k CPU core)
- Implement HIPAA-compliant data workflows
- Optimize HPC resource usage
- Publish methods in scientific journals
- Lead collaborations with academic medical centers
Requirements
- PhD in Bioinformatics or Computational Biology
- 5+ years genomics pipeline development
- Expertise in GATK, DRAGEN, and Nextflow
- Proficient in Python/R and cloud architecture
- Publications in genomics methodology
- Knowledge of Mendelian genetics
- Experience with regulated clinical environments
