About the Role
Join our skilled trades team as a Junior Electrical Technician at Southern Comfort Electrical. Gain hands-on experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems in commercial and residential properties.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics
- Install wiring, circuit breakers, and electrical outlets
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment
- Conduct electrical tests using multimeters
- Assist journeymen with transformer installations
- Repair faulty wiring and fix electrical malfunctions
- Follow OSHA safety protocols at all times
- Maintain accurate inventory of tools and materials
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-2 years electrical trade school training preferred
- Valid driver’s license with clean record
- Basic knowledge of NEC codes
- Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to safely work at heights and confined spaces
- Strong communication skills to relay technical details
- Willingness to obtain IBEW certifications
