About the Role
As our Retail Cashier, you’ll be the friendly face customers encounter daily. This role focuses on efficient transaction processing, inventory restocks, and creating a positive shopping experience while learning customer engagement skills.
Responsibilities
- Process customer sales using POS system accurately
- Maintain cashier’s station cleanliness and organization
- Assist customers with order pick-up and returns
- Monitor and restock checkout area supplies regularly
- Handle cash transactions while balancing till at close
- Stay updated on current promotions and pricing changes
- Provide friendly, approachable customer service consistently
- Participate in safety training and store compliance audits
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Minimum 6 months in retail or service environment preferred
- Strong numerical skills for accurate cash handling
- Basic computer proficiency for POS system operations
- Availability to work evenings and weekends when needed
- Reliable transportation for commute to remote locations
- Friendly demeanor to build rapport with shoppers
