About the Role
Provide administrative support to Austin’s Parks and Recreation Department. Manage correspondence, schedule meetings, and maintain departmental records while assisting residents with inquiries about city programs.
Responsibilities
- Prepare documents and meeting materials
- Manage department calendars and appointments
- Answer phones and route inquiries
- Maintain physical and digital filing systems
- Process invoices and purchase orders
- Prepare meeting minutes and summaries
- Coordinate facility reservations
Requirements
- Associate degree or administrative certificate
- 3+ years administrative experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to work with diverse stakeholders
- Knowledge of municipal operations preferred
- Detail-oriented with organizational skills
