About the Role
Develop curriculum and teach 3rd grade students in a public elementary school. Foster positive learning atmosphere and help students achieve academic success.
Responsibilities
- Create lesson plans and modify accordingly throughout the year
- Maintain classroom management and ensure student discipline
- Communicate progress and areas of improvement with parents
- Collaborate with other teachers and administrators for school events
- Develop student interest in academic and extracurricular activities
- Assign and grade homework, projects and tests
- Create a safe learning environment
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education
- Valid state teaching credential
- 3+ years teaching experience preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Passion for teaching and student development
- Ability to motivate and engage students
- Up-to-date with latest trends in education
