About the Role
Support families in the Detroit community through our Child Welfare division. Assess family needs, develop plans for child safety, and connect clients with vital community resources. Make tangible differences in vulnerable children’s lives through dedicated case management.
Responsibilities
- Assess child safety and family dynamics
- Develop individualized service plans with families
- Maintain accurate case documentation in state system
- Coordinate with schools, courts, and medical providers
- Provide crisis intervention as needed
- Monitor family progress through home visits
- Prepare court reports and testify when required
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Social Work or related field
- State social work license (LSW) or ability to obtain
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Understanding of trauma-informed care principles
- Experience with child welfare agencies preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
