About the Role
Join the City of Portland as a Public Trans Planner focused on sustainable mobility. You’ll design efficient public transport solutions aligned with community needs and environmental goals.
Responsibilities
- Analyze city transportation patterns and needs
- Prepare route planning and optimization models
- Collaborate with engineers and urban planners
- Conduct public engagement through town halls/surveys
- Develop presentations for city council review
- Monitor project budgets and timelines
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning or related fields
- 2+ years transit planning experience preferred
- Proficiency in GIS software
- Strong statistical analysis and report writing
- Knowledge of ADA compliance and federal transit laws
- Certificate in Transportation Planning a plus
