About the Role
The City of Springfield seeks a Public Works Laborer to maintain municipal infrastructure. You’ll assist with street maintenance, park upkeep, and emergency response while serving your community.
Responsibilities
- Assist with road repair and maintenance
- Maintain parks and public spaces
- Operate light equipment and hand tools
- Collect and remove debris
- Assist with snow removal operations
- Perform basic facility maintenance
- Respond to weather emergencies
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather
- Basic mechanical skills
- Teamwork and communication skills
- Availability for on-call shifts
