About the Role
We’re seeking a proactive IT Helpdesk Technician to join our growing tech support team. This mid-level role focuses on troubleshooting hardware/software issues, maintaining ticketing queues, and delivering level-one customer service while escalating complex problems. ITIL certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues via remote access
- Maintain detailed ticketing records to track support cases
- Install and configure software updates across systems
- Perform hardware replacements when necessary
- Monitor network systems for security breach alerts
- Provide Tier 1 IT support via phone/chat channels
- Participate in change management procedures for upgrades
- Train new employees on core IT systems and tools
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or 3+ yearsβ experience in tech support
- ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation certification (preferred)
- Strong problem-solving ability for cross-platform issues
- Proficiency with Windows (7/10) & basic Linux commands
- Experience with remote support tools like RDP, TeamViewer
- Clearance for government contracts based on location
- Strong organizational skills for multitask management
- Effective communication skills for staff training
