About the Role

We’re seeking a proactive IT Helpdesk Technician to join our growing tech support team. This mid-level role focuses on troubleshooting hardware/software issues, maintaining ticketing queues, and delivering level-one customer service while escalating complex problems. ITIL certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues via remote access
  • Maintain detailed ticketing records to track support cases
  • Install and configure software updates across systems
  • Perform hardware replacements when necessary
  • Monitor network systems for security breach alerts
  • Provide Tier 1 IT support via phone/chat channels
  • Participate in change management procedures for upgrades
  • Train new employees on core IT systems and tools

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or 3+ years’ experience in tech support
  • ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation certification (preferred)
  • Strong problem-solving ability for cross-platform issues
  • Proficiency with Windows (7/10) & basic Linux commands
  • Experience with remote support tools like RDP, TeamViewer
  • Clearance for government contracts based on location
  • Strong organizational skills for multitask management
  • Effective communication skills for staff training
