About the Role
Green Valley Elementary seeks a passionate 1st-grade teacher to foster academic growth and social-emotional development. Deliver engaging lessons aligned with state standards, collaborate with staff, and communicate regularly with families.
Responsibilities
- Develop differentiated lesson plans for literacy and math
- Maintain positive classroom management strategies
- Administer formative and summative assessments
- Attend IEP meetings and implement accommodations
- Coordinate with teaching aides and specialists
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences
- Lead after-school tutoring sessions twice weekly
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Elementary Education
- Valid Texas teaching certification (EC-6)
- 2+ years classroom experience preferred
- Knowledge of STEM integration strategies
- Proficiency with Google Classroom
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
