About the Role
Urban Threads seeks part-time Sales Associates to join our Michigan Avenue store team. This role assists customers in finding merchandise, processes transactions, and maintains our vibrant retail environment. You’ll receive product training to become an expert on our apparel collections while providing exceptional shopping experiences. Must be available evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and determine shopping needs
- Demonstrate product knowledge of apparel lines
- Operate POS system for sales and returns
- Maintain merchandising standards and visual displays
- Process shipment and replenish sales floor
- Monitor fitting rooms and inventory security
- Achieve individual and team sales goals
- Support community events and promotions
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year customer service experience (retail preferred)
- Comfort with technology (POS systems, basic inventory)
- Ability to stand/walk for 6+ hour shifts
- Flexible availability (including weekends and holidays)
- Strong communication and active listening skills
- Fashion awareness and styling aptitude
- Team-oriented mindset
