About the Role
Protect vulnerable youth as a Social Worker for Metro Family Services. Conduct home assessments, develop case plans, and connect families with vital resources. Advocate for children’s best interests through trauma-informed practice.
Responsibilities
- Assess child safety concerns
- Develop family reunification plans
- Document detailed case notes
- Testify in juvenile court hearings
- Coordinate with schools and healthcare
- Maintain mandatory reporting compliance
- Provide crisis intervention
Requirements
- MSW from accredited program
- State social work licensure (LSW/LCSW)
- 2+ years child welfare experience
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle
- Knowledge of Illinois child welfare laws
- ACE training/certification
- Bilingual Spanish preferred
