About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated High School Math Teacher to educate and inspire students. You will develop lesson plans, assess student progress, and create a positive learning environment. Impact students’ futures by fostering a love for mathematics.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards
- Assess student progress through tests, assignments, and classroom observations
- Provide individual student support and maintain open communication with parents
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the educational environment
- Participate in professional development activities to stay current in subject area
- Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Prepare students for standardized testing and state assessments
- Engage students in various teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
- Valid teaching certification in the state
- Proven experience in teaching high school math preferred
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs
- Proficiency in educational technology and teaching tools
- Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
- Passion for teaching and a deep understanding of mathematics
