About the Role
Support classroom instruction and student development at Pine Valley Elementary School. Assist lead teachers with lesson preparation, supervise small group activities, and provide individualized student support. Help maintain an inclusive learning environment while promoting positive student behaviors.
Responsibilities
- Assist teachers with classroom activities and lesson preparation
- Provide one-on-one support for students with learning challenges
- Supervise students during recess, lunch, and transitions
- Prepare classroom materials and maintain organization
- Support implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Document student progress and behaviors
- Assist with classroom technology and educational tools
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate’s degree in Education preferred
- Experience working with children in educational settings
- Patience and strong communication skills
- Ability to pass background check and fingerprint clearance
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Understanding of diverse learning needs
