Job Description
About the Role
Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced medical-surgical unit serving diverse patient populations. Deliver high-quality nursing services including assessments, medication administration, and treatment plans. Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and experiences.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Monitor and document patient conditions and responses
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and specialists
- Educate patients and families on discharge planning
- Respond to emergencies and critical situations
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records
Requirements
- Active RN license in Florida
- Associate degree in nursing required, BSN preferred
- 2+ years med-surg experience
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Strong clinical assessment skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Proficiency with electronic health records
- Flexibility for rotating shifts including weekends
