Job Description
About the Role
Provide essential care to patients under the supervision of licensed nurses. Assist in daily living activities, perform basic medical tasks, and ensure a safe and comfortable environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff
- Aid in patient mobility and positioning
- Document patient care activities and any observed changes
- Maintain a clean and organized patient environment
- Assist in feeding and hydrating patients
- Ensure patient safety by following protocols and procedures
- Communicate patient status to the nursing team
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program
- Valid CNA certification in the state of employment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Physical ability to assist patients with daily activities
- Basic medical terminology knowledge
- Experience with electronic health records
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and often stressful environment
- Empathy and patience in dealing with patients
