About the Role
Join our team as a Substance Abuse Counselor to provide supportive and evidenced-based treatment to individuals struggling with substance abuse. Your role will involve assessing client needs, developing treatment plans, and providing individual and group therapy sessions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct initial assessments and develop treatment plans.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions.
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Educate clients and families on substance abuse and recovery.
- Document client progress and treatment in medical records.
- Provide crisis intervention and support.
- Participate in ongoing training and development.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
- Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor (LSAC).
- Experience in substance abuse treatment (preferred but not required).
- Knowledge of evidence-based treatment methods.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
