About the Role
Miami General Hospital needs RNs to provide acute care in our 40-bed med-surg unit. Deliver evidence-based nursing care while advocating for diverse patient populations.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Monitor vital signs and document patient conditions
- Coordinate discharge planning with care team
- Operate IV pumps and cardiac monitors
- Educate patients/families on post-discharge care
- Mentor new graduate nurses
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Active Florida RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- 2+ years med-surg experience
- IV therapy competency
- Knowledge of Epic EMR system
- Flexibility for rotating shifts
- Bilingual English/Creole preferred
