About the Role
Denver Public Schools seeks a nurturing Preschool Teacher to foster early childhood development through play-based learning. You’ll create a safe, inclusive environment supporting social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with state standards
- Monitor student progress and maintain parent communication
- Organize classroom activities promoting motor skills and creativity
- Implement behavior management strategies
- Collaborate with special education staff
- Attend professional development workshops
- Maintain classroom cleanliness and safety
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education (Bachelor’s preferred)
- Colorado ECE teaching credential
- 2+ years experience in licensed childcare setting
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Understanding of Creative Curriculum framework
- Ability to lift 40 lbs
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
