About the Role
Desert Valley Unified seeks a passionate 3rd-grade teacher to create engaging learning experiences at Mountain View Elementary. You’ll develop lesson plans aligned with state standards while fostering inclusive classroom communities. This position shapes fundamental literacy and numeracy skills in young learners.
Responsibilities
- Implement standards-based curriculum for all subjects
- Design differentiated instructional strategies
- Assess student progress through formative evaluations
- Collaborate with support staff for IEP/504 plans
- Communicate regularly with parents
- Create positive classroom management systems
- Organize field trips and enrichment activities
Requirements
- Arizona teaching certificate (K-6)
- BA/BS in Education
- Structured English Immersion endorsement
- Experience with workshop teaching models
- Familiarity with Google Classroom tools
- Fluency in Spanish valued
