Job Description
About the Role
Monitor our cybersecurity infrastructure to detect, analyze and respond to security incidents. Perform vulnerability and penetration testing for our IT environment and applications. Collaborate with system administrators, developers and other stakeholders to implement security best practices and controls.
Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and security alerts for suspicious activity
- Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments of our IT infrastructure
- Investigate security incidents and coordinate remediation efforts
- Manage firewall and intrusion detection/prevention systems
- Stay current with known security vulnerabilities and patch management
- Develop security policies, procedures and documentation
- Educate employees on security best practices
- Coordinate with third-party security vendors
Requirements
- 5+ years cybersecurity experience with focus on network security
- Hands-on experience with Nessus, Qualys or Metasploit
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, network protocols and operating systems
- Strong incident handling and forensic analysis skills
- Solid background in firewalls, IDS/IPS, AV software and SIEM systems
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related field
