About the Role
Join St. Mary’s Medical Center as a CNA where you’ll provide compassionate patient care under RN supervision. This role is critical to our patient experience and recovery outcomes. You’ll assist patients with daily activities while maintaining detailed health records in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with bathing, dressing, and toileting needs
- Monitor and report changes in patient health status
- Take and record vital signs accurately
- Help patients transfer safely between beds and wheelchairs
- Maintain clean and sanitized patient environments
- Collaborate with nursing staff on care plans
- Document care provided in electronic health records
Requirements
- Active Illinois CNA certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPR/BLS certification
- Physical stamina for 8-hour shifts with frequent standing
- Strong documentation skills
- 6+ months clinical experience in healthcare setting
- Vaccination records including COVID-19 series
