About the Role
Our school is seeking a compassionate Paraprofessional to support teachers and students in our elementary classrooms. This role focuses on providing individualized assistance to ensure student success and classroom cohesion.
Responsibilities
- Support classroom teachers in lesson execution
- Work one-on-one with students requiring additional assistance
- Help supervise students during recess and lunch
- Prepare classroom materials and resources for lessons
- Collaborate with teaching staff to develop student IEPs
- Assist with administrative tasks like record-keeping
Requirements
- High school diploma required; CDA or Associate degree preferred
- Experience in education or childcare desired
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with students
- Flexibility and adaptability to various classroom needs
- CPR and First Aid certification desirable
