About the Role
Provide basic nursing care and assistance to residents in a long-term care facility, helping them with daily living activities, and promoting a comfortable and safe environment.Term patient care and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal resident care.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADL) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and document residents’ vital signs and medical information.
- Assist with patient mobility and transfers using safe lifting techniques.
- Provide support during meals and ensure residents’ nutritional needs are met.
- Maintain a clean and organized resident environment.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure resident care plans are followed.
- Communicate effectively with residents and their families.
- Participate in resident care assessments and care planning meetings.
Requirements
- Successful completion of a State-approved CNA program
- Valid CNA certification in Ohio
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to lift and move residents safely
