About the Role
Provide direct patient care, monitor vital signs, administer medications, and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Work in a fast-paced hospital environment, making a positive impact on patient health and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and medical information.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
- Provide education to patients and families about health conditions and treatments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Participate in continuous education and training to stay updated on healthcare practices.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- One year of experience in an acute care setting (preferred)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to lift and move patients safely
