Support community literacy and lifelong learning through Sacramento Public Library programs and services. Serve patrons at checkout stations and maintain resource organization.
Responsibilities
- Assist patrons locating materials
- Process circulation transactions
- Shelve books using Dewey system
- Help access electronic resources
- Prepare program materials
- Explain library policies
- Track inventory usage
Requirements
- Associate’s degree preferred
- Public service experience
- Library system proficiency
- Cash handling ability
- Written communication skills
- Ability to push carts
- Multilingual skills valued
