About the Role
Join our dedicated community pharmacy team. You’ll process prescriptions, assist customers, manage pharmaceutical supplies, and ensure compliance with state regulations. Your accuracy and patient service are vital to our community’s health.
Responsibilities
- Accurately enter and refill prescriptions per doctor orders
- Maintain inventory of medications and supplies
- Answer questions and provide over-the-counter recommendations
- Adhere to HIPAA/state pharmacy regulations
- Prepare sterile compounding formulas when needed
- Manage customer wait times and provide service excellence
- Assist pharmacists with medication therapy management services
- Stay up-to-date with drug interactions and contraindications
Requirements
- Current state Pharmacy Technician license
- Minimum 2 years retail/community pharmacy experience
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) a plus
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Proficiency in prescription processing software
- Attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing
- Flexibility to work weekends and evenings
- Basic math skills and familiarity with insurance billing
