About the Role
We are looking for a passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. This role involves developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and supporting students with special needs to achieve their academic and personal goals.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement IEPs for students with special needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and parents
- Teach academic subjects and life skills
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Provide emotional and behavioral support to students
- Coordinate with related services such as speech therapy and occupational therapy
- Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field
- Valid teaching certificate or license
- Experience working with students with special needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience and empathy
- Abililty to adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs
- Knowledge of educational technology and resources
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
