Job Description
About the Role
Oversee our high-volume e-commerce distribution center operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and employee productivity. Partner with logistics and customer service teams to optimize delivery performance.
Responsibilities
- Manage team of 30+ warehouse associates and supervisors
- Monitor inventory accuracy and resolve shipment discrepancies
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize space and throughput
- Collaborate with IT to integrate warehouse automation technologies
- Develop and execute quality assurance protocols for outgoing shipments
- Negotiate with carriers for cost-effective shipping solutions
- Track key performance metrics (pick rate, cycle time, on-time delivery)
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, FDA, and environmental regulations
- Participate in safety committees and hazard prevention initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, operations management or industrial engineering
- 5+ years progressive experience in warehouse management positions
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems and shipping software
- Demonstrated ability in budget management and cost control
- Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
- Forklift and other equipment operation certifications
- Proven track record reducing shipping errors and improving employee safety
